4:30-6:00: CODEPINK at Creech & GLOBAL ACTION AGAINST MILITARY BASES Campaign
Learn about our ongoing resistance work at Creech Killer Drone Air Base in Nevada, near Las Vegas, and help us plan for the upcoming fall action:  Oct. 5-12.  Even if you can’t come, help us brainstorm new ways to resist.  Learn about the brand new international campaign to unify our resistance to militarism and military bases:  GLOBAL ACTION AGAINST MILITARY BASES.  Help us plan a local event in solidarity with Shut Down Creech and other worldwide actions to resist militarism in October.
6:00-7:00: Potluck & song, Share sisterhood & brotherhood and bring a favorite dish to share.
7:00-7:45:  Continue Brainstorming ideas for Resistance to Militarism and planning for local Bay Area Global Action Against Military Bases.
7:45-9:15:  National Bird, For those with endless energy, we will show an excellent documentary that reveals the truth about U.S. remote killing by drones thru the eyes of 3 whistleblowers.

The national CodePink organization organizes for justice for Iraqis and to hold war criminals accountable. CodePink actively opposes the U.S. war in Afghanistan, torture, the detention center at Guantanamo, weaponized and spy drones, the prosecution of whistleblowers, U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of Palestine and repressive regimes.

Rooted in a network of local organizers, CodePink's tactics include satire, street theatre, creative visuals, civil resistance, and directly challenging powerful decision-makers in government and corporations. And, of course, wearing pink!
