LOCAL PEACE ECONOMY WORKING GROUP
You are invited  to join us as we continuing our discussions on growing a Local Peace Economy and what that means to us and how we can transform the war/brown economy to a peace/green economy. While working with our local community members to grow a greener/peaceful earth.

Some of the  items we are working on:
  • Growing the garden at the center to develop a community garden/food project
  • Plan for poem open mic
  • Zine
  • Collecting e-waste
  • Organize the many social justice orgs who are in the house, into one community morning to support chipping away at status quo and build strong community that heals, educates, builds inner strength and shares love and solidarity.
Everyone welcome!
Hope you can all make it!

GREEN ECONOMY

PinkBridgeDivider

From our National Site

The national CodePink organization organizes for justice for Iraqis and to hold war criminals accountable. CodePink actively opposes the U.S. war in Afghanistan, torture, the detention center at Guantanamo, weaponized and spy drones, the prosecution of whistleblowers, U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of Palestine and repressive regimes.

Rooted in a network of local organizers, CodePink's tactics include satire, street theatre, creative visuals, civil resistance, and directly challenging powerful decision-makers in government and corporations. And, of course, wearing pink!
