July 31, 2021 @ 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Do you want to do something easy and fun for peace? Here’s your chance! We need help with our CODEPINK Fundraiser/Yard Sale this Saturday, July 31, 10am-3pm in Berkeley.
The sale is on the corner of Hearst & McGee Ave., across from Ohlone Park and about 2 blocks from the N. Berkeley BART. Map and details here:
We need help staffing the sale between 8:30am-3:30pm. Here are the shifts: 8:30am-10am, 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, and 1pm-3pm. Please take a shift.
We’ll start setting up at around 8:30am but if you can come any time during the day to help that would be very much appreciated.
Jobs include arranging stuff and watching over it, answering questions, selling stuff, taking the money, chatting about CODEPINK
You can bring donations for the sale too– your unwanted treasures will help CODEPINK‘s work.
I’m baking three pies for the volunteers: key lime, rhubarb, and peach. There will also be lemonade. We’ve been advised that coffee, cookies and cupcakes make more money than the treasures for sale, so I’ll bake cookies and cupcakes and bring an urn of coffee too.
This is a CODEPINK fundraiser. A portion of the $ will go to Creech Anti-drone Actions and a portion will go for ordinary Chapter expenses like photocopying, sign-making supplies, paper goods, stamps, event expenses (venue and table fees), etc.
Please support CODEPINK.

“Here’s the awful truth: even if every person, every automobile, and every factory suddenly emitted zero emissions, the Earth would still be headed head first and full speed towards total disaster for one major reason. The military…produces enough greenhouse gases, by itself, to place the entire globe, with all of it’s inhabitants large and small, in the most imminent danger of extinction.”Barry Saunders, The Green ZoneCynthia Papermaster, 510-365-1500 Coordinator, Code pink Women for Peace, Golden Gate ChapterThe war economy is killing us, the planet, and driving inequality. It is time to build a peace economy.
