Report Back on CODEPINK Germany Tour and Vicenza, Italy Resistance to U.S. Militarism:
Last summer Toby was part of a CODEPINK speaking tour, and joined 6 other Codepink activists to accept a humanitarian award from the city of Bayreuth, Germany, given to CODEPINK.  Toby also connected with longtime Vicenza peace activists in Northern Italy who have been resisting U.S. bases in their city limits for many years.  Slideshow and short presentation after Mon. potluck.

Monday, Oct. 24, 3:00 – 5:00 PM, Vigil/Protest at Wheatland gate 3960 S. Beale Rd. @ Ostrom Rd, Marysville, followed by potluck, Germany/Italy Report back and camping at the main gate, 4675 N. Beale Rd. 


Tuesday, Oct. 25, 6:00 – 8:00 AM,  Vigil/Protest at Main Gate, 4675 N. Beale Rd., Marysville, with breakfast and debriefing in Marysville afterwards.

The national CodePink organization organizes for justice for Iraqis and to hold war criminals accountable. CodePink actively opposes the U.S. war in Afghanistan, torture, the detention center at Guantanamo, weaponized and spy drones, the prosecution of whistleblowers, U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of Palestine and repressive regimes.

Rooted in a network of local organizers, CodePink's tactics include satire, street theatre, creative visuals, civil resistance, and directly challenging powerful decision-makers in government and corporations. And, of course, wearing pink!
