SAY NO TO THE ULTIMATE IN RACIST VIOLENCE:
U.S. REMOTE MURDER BY DRONES, Around the World.
Huge thanks to the East Coast Anti-drone activists for their recent act of resistance at Hancock Drone Base in New York on June 20.  8 were arrested:  Watch HERE.

The U.S. Racist Drone Wars continue to expand around the globe, terrorizing and murdering the most vulnerable and poorest of communities, violating the national sovereignty of people around the world and threatening us all into a much higher chance for an all out nuclear confrontation.  These are covert wars. Much is censored and hidden from the public, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening!
In June, a U.S. Global Hawk was doing surveillance on Iran, heightening the risk for an all our war with Iran, and the Iranian military responded by shooting it down.  As the tensions continue to grow between the U.S. and Iran, due to escalating threats by the Trump administration, the people of Iran face the possibility of being yet another country that could be devastated by U.S. military aggression.
Join us at Creech for a week of nonviolent resistance to the brutality of U.S. drone  assassination, and endless wars.  Help us stop the ever expanding U.S. wars of aggression around the world.  Drones are a key tool for U.S. global domination and intimidation.
Join us in saying no to the cruelty of the U.S. Military Industrial Complex.  Together we can make a difference.  There is a high turn over rate of drone operators.  Our protests encourage military personnel to listen to their conscience….and join the side of peace.
We will also be commemorating the 18th Anniversary of the U.S. invasion in Afghanistan.  A country still occupied by U.S. troops.
Please help us make our 10th Anniversary Fall Action extra powerful!
Mark your calendar, join us and bring friends!

BACKGROUND:
It was 10 years ago last April, that the “Creech 14,” were arrested for trespassing at Creech Air Force Base to protest the immorality and illegality of remote controlled killing.  They were the first U.S. activists to put their bodies on the line to say “We don’t consent to remote controlled killing.”  We honor and thank Fr. Louis Vitale, Kathy Kelly, Megan Rice, Fr. Jerry Zawada, Brian Terrell, Fr. Steve Kelly, John Dear, Dennis DuVall, Eve Tetaz, Renee Espeland, Judy Homanich, Mariah Klusmire, Brad Lyttle, and Libby Pappalardo for leading the way in resisting drone murdering from afar at the “Home of the Hunters,” Creech AFB.
At that time covert U.S. drone assassination had been taking place already for 7 years, without the awareness of the general public or most of the U.S. peace movement.  Thank you dearly Creech 14 for opening our eyes to the barbaric cruelty of this high tech tool for U.S. Empire & NATO.
Bay Area CODEPINK has been steadfast in persisting with ongoing drone resistance at Creech ever since.  We have organized week long protests, including direct action, twice a year since 2009.  Many dozens have been arrested and taken to jail.  None of the arrests have ever ended with post-arraignment jail time, (except one person with a bench warrant) and most often the charges have been dismissed.  Could it be that military officials prefer to keep the drone killing and public objection away from the public eye? We pledge to continue our resistance as long as Reaper Drones are used to murder our brothers and sisters remotely across the seas in lands that most of us will never visit.
We also give special thanks to Nevada Desert Experience and the Western Shoshone nation for supporting our work these many years and for their own persistent determination in resisting the Pentagon’s use of our beautiful Nevada desert and Western Shoshone lands for the brutal and inhumane research, development, training and use of drones and nuclear weapons.  We honor all of you!
We are hoping that some of the original Creech 14 will join us this fall during this milestone of a year, 2019.  Together we will again resist drone warfare, empire building and global militarization.  War is NEVER the answer.
Hope we’ll see you there!

Please watch National Bird, a drone documentary, available on Netflix, if you haven’t already.  Daniel, one of the drone whistleblowers in that film, was recently arrested and potentially faces decades of jail time for telling the truth about U.S. war crimes.  Stand with Daniel, Julian, and Chelsea by coming to Creech!
