Please contact Toby Blome:  Toby4Peace@sonic.net for details about Beale action:  toby4peace@sonic.net   510-501-5412

PLEASE BRING MASKS, and practice safe physical distancing due to Covid.

Join one or both vigils.  We will have 10 life-size cardboard figures to represent the 10 Ahmadi family members whose lives were stolen by a U.S. drone strike on August 29, including the killing of 7 young children.  We need more people to help hold up the figures, as well as the banners.  (see background and more photos of victims below)  Stand together against the reckless violence and injustice that is the U.S. drone assassination program.
A letter will be delivered to Beale Commander Col. Heather Fox, asking her to cease further participation in the senseless and illegal drone assassination program, and to call on President Biden to make a public apology to the Ahmadi family, and to urge the U.S. to make an immediate payment to compensate for the innocent lives lost:  $3 million for each family member killed, at minimum!  Two months since the attack, and still no reparations have been made.  We demand an immediate end to all drone strikes, and accountability for the killing of past innocent lives.
Background:
On August 29, 2021, a U.S. drone missile struck a car in a Kabul neighborhood, targeting what the U.S. military claimed with “certainty” was an Isis-K affiliate, and Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called a “righteous strike.”  After 2 weeks of excellent investigative journalism by New York Times, CNN and others, it became evident that the Pentagon committed a tragic error, and 10 civilian Afghans, including 7 young children were sacrificed due to “a suspicion alone.”   Flash back to drone whistleblower Daniel Hale, who warned the American public in the drone documentary, National Bird (2016):
“[What drones] …really do is they just embolden commanders, they embolden decision-makers, because there is no threat, there is no immediate consequence…”
Ten innocent lives lost and no consequences, no accountability and no apology from President Biden?  The vast majority of people killed by U.S. drone strikes are innocent people or “unintended targets”. Rarely does the U.S. ever make any effort to apologize or make reparations for wrongful killings by U.S. drones or even more conventional weapons. Though the U.S. claims they will compensate the Ahmadi family for lives lost, to this day, no payments have been made.
This Tuesday, at Beale Drone Base, where the Global Hawk is used to surveil and assist in the killing of potential drone targets, we will make our voices heard:   JUSTICE FOR THE AHMADI FAMILY & JUSTICE FOR DANIEL HALE.  BAN KILLER DRONES NOW!
Please join us!
Meet the Ahmadi Family Victims:
BREAKING NEWS:  Drone whistleblower, Daniel Hale, was just transferred to the worst of the worst U.S. Federal Prisons, to continue serving a 45 month sentence for being a truth-teller, acting out of conscience, and exposing the war crimes of the U.S. covert drone program.
Learn about the horrific and abusive treatment Daniel is being subjected to.  Torturing a whistle-blower under President Biden’s watch.
During the action we will wear:  “I am Daniel Hale” signage on our bodies to stand in solidarity with Daniel and demand that Daniel be pardoned or, at minimum, transferred to a low security prison as was recommended by his judge.
Support Daniel:  Write a letter to Daniel or scroll down to find out other ways you can support Daniel.   https://standwithdanielhale.org/
