Everyone is invited to join CODEPINK in its Campaign of Non-violent Actions to Ground Killer Drones. The drone era of endless war began in 2001 with the US invasion of Afghanistan. Since 2009 CODEPINK along with dozens of protesters have been arrested at drones bases worldwide demanding the U.S. government stop the indiscriminate killing, injury, and trauma to civilians in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and Libya caused by drones and to help rebuild hospitals, schools, towns, people’s lives destroyed and who are still living under the daily terror of remotely controlled U.S. militarized drones. After 21 years it is time to stop Americas killer drones and endless war.
Twice a year CODEPINK has a national gathering at Creech AFB, the brain of the killer drone network, in an effort to Shut Down Creech, co-sponsored with Veterans For Peace. Its Fall action 2022 is coming in October.

Shut Down Creech is a community of like-minded people from across the United States who adamantly oppose the practice of remote-controlled killing, known otherwise as “targeted assassination” or “drone warfare.”  We call ourselves “Creechers” and we gather twice a year, in spring and fall, in the beautiful Nevada desert to coordinate a week of nonviolent resistance to the illegal, brutal and very racist U.S. Drone Program.

Our focus: Creech Air Force Base, a key killer drone control base an hour north of Las Vegas, where our military, directed secretly by CIA officials, execute extrajudicial killings of human beings in countries thousands of miles away, killing people who pose no imminent threat to U.S. citizens. Shockingly, the vast majority of victims are not the “intended targets” and many are unarmed civilians, including women and children, and primarily people of color.

Together we are PEACE! SHUT DOWN CREECH NOW!
CODEPINK dreams of an open sky free of killer drones so we resist, love, dance and work with our peace partners to build a critical mass movement to abolish war and create a green nonviolent world! Join US!

From our National Site

The national CodePink organization organizes for justice for Iraqis and to hold war criminals accountable. CodePink actively opposes the U.S. war in Afghanistan, torture, the detention center at Guantanamo, weaponized and spy drones, the prosecution of whistleblowers, U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of Palestine and repressive regimes.

Rooted in a network of local organizers, CodePink's tactics include satire, street theatre, creative visuals, civil resistance, and directly challenging powerful decision-makers in government and corporations. And, of course, wearing pink!
