Divest from the War Machine: August coalition call

Join the Divest from the War Machine Coalition on Tuesday, August 30th at 3pm PT/6pm ET for a special strategy call on making divestment real with Dov Baum of the American Friends Service Committee.

Dov will discuss investor activism, including the inner workings on stock market investment, what investors and stakeholders have the power to do, and how divestment is actually implemented. How can we work together to materially move our community’s money out of war and militarism? Join us August 30th to learn more!

This call will provide folks with a useful primer on the nitty gritty of divestment campaigns. Please invite any groups or individuals who may be interested!

RSVP to receive the Zoom link.

The national CodePink organization organizes for justice for Iraqis and to hold war criminals accountable. CodePink actively opposes the U.S. war in Afghanistan, torture, the detention center at Guantanamo, weaponized and spy drones, the prosecution of whistleblowers, U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of Palestine and repressive regimes.

Rooted in a network of local organizers, CodePink's tactics include satire, street theatre, creative visuals, civil resistance, and directly challenging powerful decision-makers in government and corporations. And, of course, wearing pink!
