FLY A KITE NOT A DRONE

March 30-31, Mon.-Tues.
OCCUPY BEALE AFB     Monthly NO DRONES Vigil & PEACE ENCAMPMENT
The  Afghan Peace Volunteers are asking peace makers around the world to fly kites this month in Solidarity for Peace and a Drone Free World.  March 21st is also the New Year in Kabul, and flying kites is a favorite national pastime.  Join us at Occupy Beale AFB, as we  color up the roadways into the drone base with beautiful colorful kites……modeling for the military the best alternatives to violence…. PEACE!
One Afghan Peace Volunteer said:“When I fly kites I feel so happy and free, I wish to fly in the sky like a kite without borders.”

From our National Site

The national CodePink organization organizes for justice for Iraqis and to hold war criminals accountable. CodePink actively opposes the U.S. war in Afghanistan, torture, the detention center at Guantanamo, weaponized and spy drones, the prosecution of whistleblowers, U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of Palestine and repressive regimes.

Rooted in a network of local organizers, CodePink's tactics include satire, street theatre, creative visuals, civil resistance, and directly challenging powerful decision-makers in government and corporations. And, of course, wearing pink!
